PMEL/Calibration
Technician II (Silver Spring, MD) (FT)
The
Calibration Technician will be responsible for performing repairs and
preventive maintenance procedures on laboratory equipment, and
troubleshooting and performing calibrations on laboratory equipment.Test the
functionality of equipment and complete measurements for accuracy,
sensitivity, and selectivity. Manage reference standards, instruments,
and tools. Assist with the execution of validation protocols. Perform
temperature mapping of storage units. Use common and special
calibration tools and calibration equipment to repair, calibrate, and
certify precision measurement equipment (TMDE). Troubleshoot equipment with
out-of-specification results. Perform PMEL quality functions, Assist
on projects as necessary. Some travel required.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in biomedical equipment technology or electronics or
military training, Training in GXPs, Minimum of 2 year experience in
pharmaceutical/biotechnology environment, Excellent communication skills,
U.S. citizen.
Validation Engineer II (Silver Spring, MD) (FT)
The
Validation Engineer II will be responsible for authoring, performing, and
directing the execution of validation protocols for equipment, software, and
process validations. This position will be responsible for providing
design services, process performance expertise, and troubleshooting
capabilities for HVAC systems, clean rooms, and high purity utilities. Some
travel required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Training in GXPs, Minimum of 5 years
experience in pharmaceutical/ biotechnology environment, Proficient in
statistics and data analysis and knowledge of process engineering, process
optimization, and environmental monitoring systems, Excellent computer
skills: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc., Excellent presentation and
written communication skills, U.S. citizen
